The Callum L Gamble team had a fantastic day on Thursday, April 3rd, 2025, at the Green Meadows Academy SEN Family Support Fair!

It was Callum and Caren’s second time at GM supporting the parents of the SEN pupils at the school. It was nice to see some familiar faces from the last coffee morning, nearly a year ago.

Most of the parents attending that coffee morning had bought a copy of Callum’s book, From the Dark into the Light – How I came to see the positive side of autism. It was wonderful to hear how much it has helped them. Some of the comments were: “The relationship with my son has improved as I understand him better after reading Callum’s book.” “I feel less anxious about how my son will cope when he is an adult. I feel that he will be ok as long as I give him the best support I can.” It was so motivating to hear these comments.

Callum and Caren also met some new parents and other stallholders at the fair. Some of the parents talked about their non-verbal autistic children. The team recommended that they follow Dan Harris FRSA on social media to read about his experience with his son Josh.

It was great to have a chat with the other support providers to see how our team could collaborate with them and to promote the new Empowerment-Strength-Positivity (ESP) Mentorship Programme to them and parents. There was a lot of interest, and a discovery call with an autistic college student was booked there and then. Callum also sold many more copies of his book.

It was a wonderful day overall. Callum and Caren love participating in these kinds of events because they are so uplifting. A big ‘Thank You’ to Heather Andrews and the leadership team at Green Meadows Academy for inviting our team to another amazing event at their school!

If you are planning a similar event, such as a Fair, panel discussion or coffee morning, Callum L Gamble would love to hear from you. Our team participates in many different events. Please get in touch!
