On 2nd September 2024, the Callum L Gamble team, Callum and Caren Launus-Gamble held a talk at Callum’s former high school, Fulneck School. This was in front of an audience of 40 teaching staff as part of the school’s CPD meeting, the day before the students returned for the first term of the 2024/25 academic year.
There were a few of Callum’s old teachers present at the meeting, who still work at the school. They gave Callum a hug before the talk started and had a quick chat with him.
When the talk started, Caren interviewed Callum about his life with autism including his challenges and strengths. She also asked him about the potential challenges for teachers along with how they focus on the student’s strengths to find a solution for their weaknesses and what positive actions they can take.
The talk was deemed a success as plenty of questions were asked during the Q&A session and 8 copies of the book were sold.
